Mineral scale in your hot water tank can clog water flow and negatively affect brew temperature – this results in beverage inconsistency. To prevent your machine from clogging and breaking down, your beverage equipment should be descaled regularly. Dezcal is a safe option for removing lime scale build-up in your machine. DezcalTM can be used on home coffee brewers, espresso machines (traditional and automatic), kettles, and pod and capsule machines. NSF certified for metal compatibility. For best results, use quarterly (water hardness in your area may require more or less frequent descaling).

Saved my $250 coffee maker I have a Breville YouBrew that is only 3 months old, and alerted me that it required descaling (the water is terribly hard where I live).I followed Breville’s instructions exactly, using vinegar, and had a useless machine afterwards. I’m guessing that the vinegar loosened the deposits inside the machine, and consolidated them into a single mass that all but completely blocked water flow. On 3 occasions I told the machine to make 12 cups — and after 10 minutes of the machine…
Love my Moccamaster and making it fresh and happy easily I love my Moccamaster, the coffee pot of my dreams, the goden cuppa. It stands there, it’s admirable pure function and I am committed to caring gently for it.A packet of this in the beauty, and then running plain water through the dignified machine four times, everything is gently cleansed and freshened, to brand new status and so beautiful.Vinegar won’t do on this, the copper heating element could be effected. This is what the Moccamaster people recommend, and since I…
Works as advertised… & economical too! I tried to find descaler for my Tassimo in several stores without any success. I ordered online and when it arrived I immediately followed directions to descale my machine. I guess I didn’t follow the directions exactly because at the end of the cleaning cycle the descaling light was still lit. So after reading the directions again and HOLDING the brew button for at least 3 seconds, the descaling cycle began. I filled the reservoir to the Max line and added the descaling solution. It took more…
