Borosilicate glass carafe that’s individually handblown to perfection. We chose this glass because it will never shatter from thermal shock, and does a fantastic job at maintaining the temperature of the coffee.
Reinforced silicone rings create an airtight barrier that separates the grinds from the coffee, completely stopping the extraction process whenever you choose.
The built-in, stainless-steel mesh filter is so fine that only liquid can pass through, ensuring that grounds don’t slip into your carafe of brewed coffee.

So glad I purchased this French Press As a long-time coffee maker the only reason I never purchased a French press before is because it was difficult to choose the right one and I wondered if all the hype is true. Well, all the hype is absolutely true and this is a wonderful French press. It is simple to operate, comes with good instructions, and makes the most delicious coffee I have ever enjoyed.
Slight Design Flaw I also have the Bodum Bistro press, and have tested coffe from both after letting it sit for 10 minutes (I drank the first half, then left the bottom half sitting for a while). The Osaka definitely is more consistent from top to bottom.BUT… see attached picture of a pretty significant design/manufacturing flaw that should be fixed:The interior of the class has a fairly large concave portion where the handle attaches. Best tasting coffee yet The most important thing I can say about the Osaka French Press is the coffee is excellent, better than my prior press, and much better than my numerous drip coffee makers I have owned over the years. It is flavor packed without being bitter. Period. Excellent. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 as I find it a bit more difficult to press the plunger than the run of the mill press.
