A perfect replacement for my DRX5 This decanter works perfectly in my Mr. Coffee DRX5. For some reason, the DRX5 is not listed as a compatible coffee machine model in the product description. So if anyone’s wondering whether it will fit or not, the answer is: yes – a perfect match!
Though I’m happy with the purchase As others have said, the carafe tends to spill until you learn to pour more slowly, AND using your thumb to hold the lid open slightly. A deeper spout would have fixed this issue. When I purchased the carafe it cost $13 and the coffeemaker cost $25. Now the carafe costs $15 and the coffee maker lists at $20. Though I’m happy with the purchase, I wouldn’t buy another at that price differential, I’d buy a whole new coffee maker.
Also fits the DRX5! This replacement model saved me when I broke the carafe for my relatively new Mr. Coffee DRX5 (and yes, this replacement does fit the DRX5 — it’s not listed on the product page, but it works). The price seems a mite high considering I only paid $19.99 for my entire Mr. Coffee DRX5 system, but since this carafe enables my caffeine addiction, I can’t complain too much!
