Great permentant gold tone filter that filters 100% of the grounds I have been using this FTF2-1 basket style gold tone permanent filter for about 2 months now. It works wonderfully and filters out 100% of the grounds. The little flip up handle is great for removing the filter for easy cleaning.
Does the job just fine, annoying to clean I bought this for convenience of not having to always put in a paper filter. I’ve used similar gold filters like this before in my Cuisinart Coffee maker. The Cuisinart filter had a”V” shape at the bottom. This one is round at the bottom as shown. The sides are gold screen/mesh as show and the bottom is solid black plastic. The Coffee grinds then sit inside and on top of the plastic bottom. So it’s not exactly like the water runs “through” the coffee grinds but rather the grinds…
