A classy accessory that looks great and works as designed. I bought my wife the Mr. Coffee BVMC-SJX33GT-AM 12-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker. This model was designed for it as an accessory and I ordered this as an afterthought. It was a wise decision. It keeps the coffee hot for hours. She gets so busy doing other things and when she’s ready for another cup, she comes back and pours a nice hot cup of Joe. This is a great addition to her Mr. Coffee Coffee Maker. If you appreciate quality by design, this is the accessory for you.
FOUR HAIR-LINE CRACKS IN THE PLASTIC AROUND THE OPENING! Upon close examination, while unpacking the carafe, 4 cracks/fractures were found around the circular opening on the top’s plastic housing. Overflows while brewing The lid of this decanter has a valve in it for some unknown reason. (Called Mr Coffee customer service and they do not know what it is for either.) This valve gets clogged up with coffee grounds and if you make a pot of coffee when it is plugged, coffee will run over while brewing and it is a real mess. Best solution is to remove the valve to eliminate the ongoing problem. Has happened to us several times before removing the valve. Remove by removing the three screws in the bottom of the…
