How to get the most out of this Iced Tea Maker This is a great iced tea maker. I will give a few tips of how I use it to give it such a high rating. First off, don’t follow their instructions. Everybody’s taste is different so use as many or as few tea bags/loose tea as you require. Second, if you like sweet tea, don’t fill the container up with ice before brewing, it’s too hard to disolve the sugar in cold water. Third, I do use 12 tea bags to brew a 3 quart batch of tea but once the brewing cycle is over I dump the tea bags in the hot tea…
Brewed great til it broke after only 3 months. OMG! Arrived early February, broken by end of May. While this brewed tea decently well (I did mostly loose leaf tea) to make tasty iced tea, the thing broke mid may, just after the 90 day warrantee period expired. There’s a float valve inside the unit that managed to break off from normal use. Without it, it produces scalding steam out the top. Dangerous. Don’t buy. Total Junk.
Fast and strong Iced tea….BUT…. I LOVE ICED TEA. This machine is cool for making a bunch right away on a hot day or having iced tea with lunch. The ONLY reason it didn’t get 5 stars is In like to have Iced Tea all the time and the container you make the tea in is stained from having the tea sit in it in the fridge for a few days. So I bought a glass one and think it’s silly I transfer iced tea from one container to another so it doesn’t get skunky sooner.
