Proper Grind is the key to Espresso First off lets address those that say it doesnât make a good cup of espresso…they obviously do not have a proper grinder/grind on their coffee. Moka, moka, moka My first moka pot had a slight defect in the threading (where you screw the top and bottom together), causing steam and some water to escape from the sides, leading to insufficient pressure in the base to push water all the way out into the top half. I tried a bunch of things and emailed the Coffee Gator people.
