High-Quality French Press This is a great french press. I’ve been using the standard glass one that is so popular (won’t mention the brand). I like this one a lot better. The double wall stainless steel is very nice, and keeps things warm. The glass ones radiate off a lot of heat even during only the 4 minute rewind cycle. The all-metal filter plunger is very high quality with a very fine mesh. I get slightly less sediment that with my previous press. The 8 cup capacity is about as big as you can get a french press. Sturdy, great looks, some inconvenience Very sturdy product. I love the look, and it works well. Two minor inconvenience. 1) There is no indication inside if I poured 4 cups or 6 cups. It will be great if there are some indication how much water I poured. 2) a mesh and metal plate are attached, so some fine coffee ground get stuck. Other brand’s french press I owned over the years always let me unscrew the mesh and metal plate for cleaning. Overall I like the product.

It is very thick and I haven’t actually timed how long it can keep the coffee warm but it does stay warm during the time it would take to pour a few more cups and drink it. The plunger part is very tightly fitted and no grounds escape. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that it is difficult to unscrew the sieve parts from the bottom of the long stick.
