Choosing Your Brewing Strength
Melitta Coffee Brewers offer the choice of regular, bold and robust brewing strengths. It’s not difficult to decide which setting is right for you. If you typically purchase coffee described as, “bright, breakfast blend or mildly flavored,” and are not fond of espresso, your taste buds will be more at home with the REGULAR setting. If, on the other hand, you are drawn to dark, oily coffee beans at the store and look for coffee adjectives such as “bold, deep or rich,” choose the BOLD or ROBUST brewing setting.
Added Brewing Convenience for Greater Control

Why So Hard To Find A Good Basic Coffee Maker If you are reading these reviews on coffee makers you, like me, are amazed at how nearly every maker has very mixed reviews. Why can’t a good standard coffee maker be made? My first drip coffee maker lasted 15 years, my second about 8 years but after reading many of the reviews, it appears it’s now common for makers to only last 2-3 years! I do like to grind my own beans and my previous coffee maker was a Melitta but it was mediocre in grinding and started to leak at the end of its 8 years…
Bad Purchase Coffee maker was great at first, made good coffee; however the plate started discoloring and dissolving in about 2 months. Water was not as hot and took longer to brew. In three months the plate completely melted and changed color, through it away and bought a different brand. I have added a picture of how disgusting the plate got after 3 months.
Mama Melitta That’s A Good Cup ‘o Coffee This is the 3rd one I’ve purchased in the last 10 years. I get about 3 years out of each of them before the slight drip when you remove the pot stains and eventually builds up on the “burner” plate and then trying to clean it tears the plate up. The coffee maker itself has worked well and brewed consistently with each and every model. My wife makes coffee at 6am that is still warm at around Noon. Beyond that it begins to cool off to the point of needing reheated. I’ve never had the tank…
