For every step, we recommend that you always use freshly ground coffee to get maximum flavors and aromas (using KRUPS grinders!) On the coffee side, simply fill in the water tank with the amount of water needed for your desired number of cups. Swing out the filter basket and place a #4 paper filter inside the basket. Finally incorporate your ground coffee before swinging the filter basket back in and start the brewing cycle. Thanks to the programmability, set your clock to start a full pot of coffee automatically every morning. For the espresso part, steps are as simple as above : fill in the water tank, grind your coffee fine and put it in the portafilter before securing it in the brewing head. Start the exctration (from 1 to 4 cups) and enjoy!

Great Dual Coffee Espresso Maker I was hesitant to buy this coffee maker based on some of the reviews. We have had this coffee maker for a few months now and we love it. We have no problems at all. We use the coffee maker every day and the espresso maker once in awhile. I highly recommend this product who wants a nice compact combination maker.
Good value in a combo coffee machine This machine as a lot of good features. The coffee pot, unlike my previous one of another brand, doesn’t spill. So that was a great improvement in itself. Coffee pots should pour without missing the pot so the comparison brand set a low bar. The coffee maker provides a fast brew – maybe a little too fast as the coffee sometimes seems a little weak. May need to use more generous measure. Also the filter door doesn’t quite snap shut using my reusable filter. Need to see if there is a smaller size…
leaking water when brewing coffee I only had this coffee maker for less than 4 months when it started leaking. When it makes coffee the water in the holder leaks out of the side of the hinged area where the coffee and coffee filter are housed. My whole counter gets wet from the leak. This happens every time I make coffee, which is daily. I thought Krups would be made better than this for the expensive price that I paid.
