Not as good as my original carafe I broke my original carafe, which had its own set of design issues. Krupps tried to improve on that design because customers complained that it did not pour well (which is true). This replacement model, pours well and the lid comes off (the original carafe, the lid was permanently affixed). However, my biggest issue w/ this replacement carafe is the design of the inside lip. Sturdy and a perfect fit! I ordered this because after four years, I dropped the pot that came with the coffee maker. I’m happy to say that even with all of my banging around while washing and putting it back and forth to the coffee maker, it has not cracked nor do I need to replace it again. Well done Krups!
Krups 50205 Best carafe I have tried to find this replacement for over 3 months and when I checked Amazon, I thought this was not the correct one as it had a plastic rim but, to my amazement it is even better than the original carafe as it does not drip when filling the coffee maker with water.
