I discovered that their is a major difference in flavor using the factory supplied Brass filter as the natural brown color paper filters. Fast & Great Cup – gold filter must help Fast, (I wanted) provides a great smooth cup of coffee. Same coffee but much better flavor in this coffeemaker. Technology is great and well thought out features in design. My other maker was 4 years old and running slow, it was a Cuisinart. Would have been more expensive to replace that model than get this new Krups – which is better technology. IMHO
