This big, white behemoth of a coffeemaker filters fine coffee with a flourish. Its technological features are considerable and include a double action water filter that keeps the taste of chlorine from coffee and preserves the machine from calcification. Its “Duo-Filter,” which needs replacing about every three months, is vegetable-based and can be thrown in the garbage. Another special Krups feature is a lid designed with an insulating grid over the pour spout that captures drops of coffee and uses them to seal the pot. In most coffeemakers this area is open, allowing the flavor and aroma of waiting coffee to escape. The grid is a nice touch, though the lid can be slightly hard to remove for washing. The water level indicator on the outside of this machine is magnified for easy reading and the carafe is sturdy and pours easily. This coffeemaker also has a “Stop ‘n’ Serve” feature that lets you pour yourself a cup while the java’s still brewing. If there’s one feature that will divide people though, it’s the machine’s design. coffee pot the glass was chipped..had to return it….i used it not knowing..and it chipped further…i was very gentle with it while washing but….have not heard that they received it yet? ???
Excellent coffee pot This is the SECOND of these I have purchased, one for summer and one for winter homes. It makes very good coffee and has been trouble free. I enjoy the updated style and use is simple. Thanks for this opportunity.
Good home coffee maker For drip coffee at home, you can’t go wrong with this unit. It’s simple. It filters the water, and it’s easy to use. It doesn’t leak all over the counter or have a grinder that clogs. I’ve had both these problems with other, more expensive, models. By contrast, this coffee maker is a jewel.
