Would had expected more from Kitchen Aid I bought this unit on Feb 15, 2015 based on the name, as Kitchen Aid had delivered in the past. Although nothing wrong with this coffee maker (brew great coffee), I believe the quality in their products had decreased a little. One thing I am very disappointed is the quality of the LED clock. When the coffee maker is on, the clock display tends to fade, making very hard to see the numbers, not sure if anyone else is having this “problem” although this does not affect functionality. This…
Great on the basics . . . . One flaw First, a note about KitchenAid. I brew alot of coffee. Over the years, I’ve had several coffee makers, and so far, I’ve found KitchenAid to make the best, most economical machines out there. It’s user-friendly, the carafe pours without leaving a mess, the pause & sneak a cup while brewing without leaving a dripping puddle on the burner, and the design (more later) make this a solid coffee maker.My current KitchenAid was working just fine, but I was drawn to the design of this one…
Good performer. Couple little design flaws but brews a good cup of coffee. And the search continues for an attractive coffee machine that can actually brew coffee well. This unit has a lot of nice features like the detachable water tank (brilliantly simple) and the swing out filter basket, but when you hit brew the problems start. Not sure if the shower head drip is too harsh or the basket too narrow and steep but it blows coffee grounds out of the filter that inevitably end up in the pot. We’re not talking a few grounds… it’s at least over a tablespoon worth…
