The fine metal filter makes it easy to use and no waste. The glass pitcher looks like it will break easily, but upon further use it is very sturdy and durable.
Dual Purpose I prefer French press to pour over, but this system can actually make both better. As a pour over device, there’s not much more you need (scale, grinder, etc.). But what I really like is that my French press lets about 20-30 grounds through, but pouring through this filter into this carafe eliminates those. Sure you could use a paper filter, but this is much easier. I might start to experiment with 1/2 pour over and 1/2 French press or other ratios because, why not, water is boiled and…
Just Okay It’s more like a 2-1/2. This product just isn’t for me. I guess I don’t appreciate coffee enough to take the time to make “pour-over” coffee. There are too many steps. Bloom the grounds? Who does that? I do have to say, the carafe is very pretty and I really like the filter. So, if you’re not into making that “perfect” cup of coffee, this might not be a product for you.
