Best coffee bar none! I had this coffee in Europe a few years ago, and was very impressed with the dark color and rich (but not bitter) taste. I couldn’t find it in my local supermarket, so I opted for Peet’s dark roast. After getting the Illy, I put it into the container on top of the remaining Peet’s. When I got toward the bottom of the canister, I had to use some of the Peet’s along with the Illy. What a disappointment! The coffee tasted horrible with that little bit of Peet’s in it! Even though this is…
shoe fetisch this is the worst coffee I’ve ever had. It is sooooo bitter and you can’t use it on a French Press. It is not coarsly grounded. I read reviews, as I always do, before I buy something. One of the reviews stated that this coffee is not bitter, IT IS BITTER. Don’t waste your money on it.
Did not ship with a lid, not suitable for French press There is reference to French press, which I took to insinuate a course grind. However this is a very fine ground coffee and not very suitable for French press. Also, is there supposed to be a lid. I didn’t see any comment indicating “lid sold separately”. Did I miss it?
