Optimal brewing temperature for better extraction
Brewing temperature is one of the five elements of great coffee. Ordinary coffeemaker brews at about 176℉. But the optimal temperature is 188 ~ 197.6℉. If it’s too low under extraction occurs, the coffee will taste weak and have a sour flavor. If too high, then over extraction occurs and the coffee tastes bitter.

Simple and functional, exactly what I wanted. If you’re looking for a basic 10-cup coffee maker, this is a great little unit!
