It comes with a high quality thermal glass which keeps the coffee hot for 10-15 minutes. I found that grinding the coffee of choice beans make the best coffee. My first experience with french pressed coffee was while I was visiting a friend. I enjoyed the coffee and the taste so much I decide research and purchase this one for myself. It took few different coffees, pre-ground and ground myself before, I found the blend, I enjoyed. I found that grinding the coffee of choice beans make the best coffee. I also found that pouring the hot water evening over the grounds made a better pot of coffee over lighting stirring. Not happy with the metal stirring spoon (should be wood) as per instructions “do not use metal to stir, could cause micro scratches and chipping” Over all I like the coffee press.
