It’s a coffee maker. It’s not rocket science. My wife and I are quite happy with this coffee maker. We wanted a thermal carafe to avoid the burnt flavor that you often get from conventional drip machines.This coffee maker produces an excellent cup of coffee (whether you use the aroma setting or not).I only have two minor complaints:1. I do not love this coffee maker I do not love this coffee maker. I had a DeLonghi with glass carafe for many years. I love the front-load feature the I can find only from DeLonghi coffee makers, and the model I had before was great. However this coffee maker has the thermal carafe and there is no way to measure water in it. Tried a carafe model, hated it I’ve had a DeLonghi for over 5 years and absolutely love the front access and aroma features. My glass carafe unit stopped working properly and it was difficult finding another one so I went with the carafe style. I returned it two days later. The unit shuts off after the brewing cycle is completed because they “think” the carafe will keep it hot – nope.
