Complete disappointment… What am I missing here?? When the carafe on our last coffee maker (a Hamilton Beech) dropped and shattered, I thought I’d step it up a notch with a built-in grinder, just in time for hosting out-of-town family for a long weekend. WOW – The Noise Have enjoyed this model for the past eight years, until it started leaking. Still operated fine but wife wanted replacement.This new unit is identical to the earlier model. However, it is considerably louder in the grinding mode. It continues well after the grindingis completed and continues to increase rpms until it seems ready for lift-off. It does shut itself off, but not without scaring off our cats and waking the “head of the household.”
Mmmmmm coffee LOVE this coffee maker, and love me some fresh ground and brewed coffee in the morning, nothing like it! This is the 4th coffee maker of this brand and type that I’ve owned because they’re fantastic and affordable, but se la vie nothing lasts for ever. Warranty replacement is super easy, as long as you’re within the warranty period.
