A way to extend the life of the carafe All the reviews on the vacuum seal leaking are true. I’m on my 4th carafe in 5 years. Some lasted only a month or so (replaced by Cuisinart customer service fairly easily), some much longer. When you start to feel heat on the METAL part of the carafe, your seal is broken.
