  1. Buy It You Won’t Be Sorry. This refurbished unit replaced a $189 Krups unit I had for 8 years, which was very good, but frankly I like the Cuisinart more.Like the Krups it has a conical shaped filter basket that is *crucial* for good coffee, and they are hard to find in less expensive coffee makers. It holds 14- 5-oz “cups,” instead of the standard 12 5-oz “cups.” It brews quickly, quietly, and beeps when it is done and then beeps again when the burner turns off.The burner is the right temperature for…

  2. Don’t buy it! This product is terrible! It continually leaks from the pot when both filling the machine and then pouring hot coffee. In addition, we have had nothing but trouble the last few weeks with backup of water moving through the paper filter while brewing, causing overflow onto our counter and grounds in finished pot.Would never buy again and have missed my 30 day return window.
