Perfect coffee from an easy-to-use coffeemaker While the instruction manual has a few language translation glitches (so, what’s an “appliance garage”?), the use and maintenance of this appliance are straight-forward. The coffee I’m making (from freshly ground Peet’s French roast) is just about perfect, even in small (four-cup) quantities. mixed feelings mixed feelings about this coffee maker. Have bought three or four of them for our vacation rental condos and our home. Love the size of the carafe. It brews good coffee, nice and hot.BUT. The lid. The lid mechanism has now broken on two of our coffee makers, both within a year of buying them. Not impressed. Our cleaning lady has the same coffee maker, but about ten years old. She says hers has a metal hinge on the lid, this one is plastic and is not built too last. I hope the manufacturer…
Poor design and craftsmanship. This product is garbage. I have had two of these models that the hinge for the lid broke. Cuisinart does not stand behind their product. I definitely do not recommend this product.Update: After continuing to use the coffee pot with a broken lid I found out when I left for work today and turned off the pot it was still on with the power light off. Luckily my wife heard it making noise and unplugged it. So not only poor craftsmanship but its dangerous too!! If I could give 0 stars I would…
