The Coleman blue enamel percolator is built to withstand the heat of a campfire. We love to camp and I have used a large pot to heat water up for cocoa and for washing dishes. Had higher hopes for its durability. Haven’t used it yet, but it arrived chipped around the handle and I can hear the handle creak a little bit with a little pressure even though it’s welded to the pot. I imagine over time it will chip some more around the handle.

This means you have to mess with the lid, to get it own. Every percolator, I have ever had, the basket stood straight up. The basket is made from aluminum, so thin, I could crush it, in my arthritic hands. Make coffee in a sock.
