I would only state three comments: 1) Yes, the carafe pouring spout could have been designed better – you do have to pour slowly but not trickle so that it does not drip on the counter, 2) I keep on forgetting that my definition of a “cup” is about 2x the standard definition of a cup. Basically, I define “cup” as a full coffee mug, so under my definition, this machine makes two cups of coffee, not four. and 3) the opening for pouring water in is a bit narrow…
Okay Good: 1. works as advertised2. I bought it because of the shut-off timer.Bad: 1. water reservoir does not have a window on the side to show level of water2. Water reservoir has a hole in the back, if overfilled water will pour out on the counter and everywhere else.
Nice coffee maker I’ve had no mechanical problems with this coffee maker and it makes a good pot of coffee. My two concerns are that I had to put about 10 pots of fresh water through to reduce the slight plastic smell before making my first pot of coffee. The mesh filter insert is nice for getting the most flavor out of coffee. If you prefer to use a paper filter (as I do since the coffee maker is in my office and I want to minimize the mess), it’s a good idea to wet the filter before you add the coffee…
