How Things Work
Electronic Charcoal Filter Indicator
An internal counter registers how often you turn the coffee maker on. It assumes that it makes a pot of coffee each time the machine is turned on. After 60 pots of coffee the green indicator light starts blinking. Replace the charcoal filter and push and hold the filter button until the green light stops blinking and stays illuminated.

Exceeded expectations transitioning from MT500 to MT600 My wife is the big coffee drinker. Not as good as the MT-500’s….fit and finish found wanting. I’ve owned and have enjoyed the Capresso MT-500 model thermal coffee maker the past 15 years or so. They worked fine, required little or no maintenance, made hot coffee, and lasted a long time. The newer MT-600 Plus is not made as well as the old MT-500. Like another negative reviewer in these comments, in my MT-600, the the drip spout on the thermal carafe does not line up directed under the filter basket properly…..it is slightly off so that the brewed coffee doesn’t all make it into…
Just as good as the old version The reviews of the various thermal carafe drip coffee makers are all over the place, so decisionmaking is tough. I got misled by good reviews for the Mr. Coffee (this one: ), and bad reviews of this Capresso.
