Good appliance, but it doesn’t really brew 3 liters of coffee at a time. I hope this review will help others who receive this thing and can’t figure out how to operate it. The first step is to throw away the manual that came with it. The manual that comes with it will only cause you to tear your hair out. It applies to 11 different models and none of them seem to be this model. I finally called technical support to learn how to use it. It helps to understand how Bunn coffee makers work. rather than heating the water at the time of brewing like an ordinary coffee…
Use filtered or distilled water for best results and preventing corrosion in the unit. Excellent–I bought this as a replacement for one that was getting repaired. It worked exactly as expected. You need to use filtered water, with these though because hard water will corrode the internal parts and the heater and it will just stop working. That is what happened to the one that needed to be repaired. A lot of tap water is hard had has calcium and chlorine that will corrode the element and the tubes quickly. These brewers are great and the coffee is the best.
