For improved brewing safety, its SplashGuard feature provides a shield next to the handle to deflect hot liquids away from the hand if the funnel is pulled out before the brew cycle is completed. good quality, great coffee, tough to install in a home kitchen but worth it if u love coffee. Bought this for my home, as I have friends who are really in to coffee (one will drink an entire pot just before bed…) quality is fine, just don’t expect this to work like a household kitchen coffee pot.
