Easy and Effective Trenton Bennet’s lead review of this coffee maker cleaner is ‘spot-on.’ I have been using vinegar and baking soda to clean my Bunn Coffee Drip machine. I WAS amazed at how much residue from coffee and water scale was removed using a single application of 24 oz. of water and one measured TB of cleanser. My system has a ‘ready’ water reservoir so I made sure to cycle two pots of water through the system to flush the reservoir and then to apply the cleaning/scaling solution. I followed that…
Works, sodium carbonate Not as good as the dip-it from the early 90’s. But it does work. Used it on an old stainless steel thermos that I use daily. I had gone MUCH to long since the last cleaning. Yes, it got rinsed daily but, coffee builds up. 4 heaping teaspoons and a quart of boiling water. 20 minutes later, it looked like black ink pouring from my thermos…yuck! Now my coffee tastes better and there is nothing growing in the bottle… the strange noises and occasional shaking were beginning to worry me.
