Apparently it is NOT the stainless steel that it is supposed to be. Now I have to spend my long weekend tracking down a new coffee maker before the lack of caffeine knocks me on my a$$. Not kosher, Teravan.
The base is not stainless, it has rust on the inside of the lip. I’m really bummed that this product has changed from what they used to be. I got into using Moka pots to make coffee years ago and I used a 9 cup Aluminum Bialetti Moka Pot for a while and loved it till I found out Aluminum is bad to use for cookware.
