Good basic coffee maker I needed to get a coffee maker for my mother who lives in Assisted Living and it had to have an auto shut off since that’s something she would forget to do. It also had to be very simple and only make a few cups. I also wanted something that wasn’t going to occupy a lot of counter space since there wasn’t much real estate in her compact kitchenette. And it couldn’t have a clock and lots of push buttons…she would never use it. This model mostly fits the bill. I agree with those who commented…
FILTER(S) NOT INCLUDED This coffee maker does not come with a filter. You will need to use paper filters. The basket that holds the filter is “flat -bottomed” so most other fine mesh metal filters from other brands will NOT fit. I have searched AMAZON and not found a fine mesh filter for it. If you know of one that fits let me know.
GREATLY IMPROVED SPOUT ON CARAFE! NO MORE DRIPS! This is my second Andis coffee maker. I bought the first several years ago and recently managed to accidentally cut the cord, sigh. At least it wasn’t plugged in. Others have pointed out that the old Andis was wonderful except that the carafe was poorly designed and made pouring problematic. The good news is that after all the criticism they’ve redesigned the carafe and it’s great! I think someone would have to work hard to spill even a drop. I love it.
